Miss Virginia Clark is Bride of Wayne Huebsch
On Monday, April 14, at 5 o'clock, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thorne Clark was the scene of a lovely wedding, impressive in its simplicity, when their daughter, Miss Virginia Clark, became the bride of Wayne I. Huebsch of this vicinity.In an appropriate setting of red roses and lighted white tapers, the single ceremony was performed by Loren E. Holt, minister of the Lowell Church of Christ, and witnessed by the bride's parents and her sister, Margaret, the groom's mother, Mrs. Nadine Huebsch, and Mrs. Loren E. Holt.
The bride chose for her wedding a suit and hat of ashes of roses, with accessories of navy to match the navy suit worn by the groom. Her necklace, a gift of the groom, was worn in choker style and her corsage was of white gardenias. Both mothers wore corsages of red rose buds and Margaret's was red carnations.
Following the ceremony, the wedding party enjoyed dinner at the Wagon Wheel, south of Gary.
Virginia, a graduate of Lowell high school and Hoosier State Beauty School, has owned and operated her beauty shop in Lowell for the past three years. Wayne, also a graduate of Lowell high, besides being engaged in farming, operates a bulldozer for a local engineering company.
The newlyweds, upon returning from their honeymoon trip to Arizona, will reside at the Huebsch farm, across from the Lowell Ranch House.
