Julia Brannon Wason Dahl
(Mrs. Otto J. Dahl)

The following newspaper article, hand-dated Dec. 31, 1954, was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

    KEEP GOLDEN WEDDING DAY

Mr. and Mrs. Otto J. Dahl celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at their Lake Prairie home Sunday afternoon and evening.

With them were their six daughters and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Fairchild and children of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Weinberg, Lowell; Mr. and Mrs. Edmund G. Klemm and children of Waukesha, Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. George Wemple, Crown Point; Mrs. Henry C. Kirk and sons, Burlington, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. John Sybolsky and son, Yonkers, New York.

Many friends and relatives stopped in to wish the Golden Wedding bridegroom and his bride well. Dr. Isobel Wason of Washington, D.C., Miss Edith L. Burhans of Hammond, and Mrs. Arthur Hoffman of Joliet, Illinois, who were present at the wedding 50 years ago, returned to spend the day with them.

Mr. and Mrs. Dahl were married at the home of her father T. Abbot Wason, December 28, 1904.
