    Shelby Man Killed in Action

    News was received a few days ago that Sgt. Frank L. Wease, 24, husband of the former Mary Etta Kloninger of Shelby, was killed in action in France on Jan. 14th. Previous to the battle in which he was killed, he had been wounded in action on the same front. Sgt. Wease, who was employed in the Gary steel mills prior to entering the service Dec. 3, 1942, had been overseas in England and France the past year. Mrs. Wease and daughter are living with her mother, Mrs. Harlow, at Shelby.
