This Sept. 22, 1949, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 4:
FORMER RESIDENT DIED TUESDAY
Forrest A. Ragon, 57, died in his room at Cedar Lake Tuesday morning. Born and reared in Lowell, he moved to Gary in 1910 and in recent years has resided in Crown Point and Cedar Lake.Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Henrietta Leistekow of Hobart; his mother, Mrs. Henrietta Ragon, and brother, Chandos of Crown Point.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Lincoln chapel and interment will be made in the Lowell cemetery.
