This Lowell Tribune article, from Oct. 19, 1916, was found on page 1, column 5:
    Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Chapman went to Frankfort Saturday evening to visit relatives over Sunday.
This Dec. 28, 1916, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 5:
    E.F. Chapman went to Frankfort, Ind., Friday evening to visit his wife's parents. His wife, who has been down there for some time returned with him Monday.
This Lowell Tribune article from Feb. 15, 1917, appeared on page 5, column 5:
    Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Chapman went to Frankfort, Ind., Tuesday morning to visit her parents. Mr. Chapman attended a meeting of the Standard Oil Co. employees at South Bend, yesterday.
An article in the Mar. 1, 1917, issue of the Lowell Tribune (page 1, column 4) tells of the 26th anniversary of the founding of the local chapter of the Knights of Pythias. E.F. Chapman was mentioned as one of the nine charter members who still holds a membership. Another article was found on page 5, column 5:
    E.F. Chapman, who has charge of the Standard Oil Co. station here, has received a new Packard truck with which to make his deliveries of oil and gasoline. He will commence using it in a few days.
An April 5, 1917, Lowell Tribune advertisement appeared on page 5, column 1:
    Wanted at once: Demonstrator for Semdac Liquid Gloss Furniture Polish. Good pay and apply to E.F. Chapman.
Another advertisement apperaed in the same issue of the paper on page 8, column 4:
    Farm for Sale

    160 acres in south central Wisconsin, 10 miles from Kilbourn. Clay loam soil, good fences, $4500 worth of buildings -- good house, barn, grainery, tool shed, chicken house. Price $80 per acre.

This ad appeared intermittantly through June 6, 1917.

The following April 12, 1917, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 8, column 5:
    Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Chapman went to Frankfort, Ind., Saturday to visit her parents over Easter Sunday.
On Aug. 2, 1917, the following Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 5, column 6:
    The Standard Oil Co. has furnished E.F. Chapman, their Lowell manager, with a fine new truck with which to make deliveries to the surrounding towns. From now on Mr. Chapman will be able to make deliveries in less than half the time it took before.
