Ida Mae Lynch Driscoll (ca. 1859-1886)

Thursday, Aug. 12, 1886, Mrs. Ida Lynch Driscoll was released from her earthly sufferings. For many weary weeks she had been a terrible sufferer from that dread disease, consumption. All that loving husband, kind parents and friends could do for her was willingly and cheerfully done, but without avail; death claimed her for his own. In her death the community has lost a valued member, one of whom any one could truthfully speak aught of but good. She leaves a husband and two bright little children, a boy and a girl, father and mother, two brothers, and numerous relatives and friends to mourn for her. Her funeral, which was very largely attended, took place Friday afternoon at 9 o'clock from her father's residence, Rev. Baker, of Chicago, officiating. Her mortal remains were laid to rest in the Lowell cemetery, there to sleep in quietness and solitude until the assembling of the multitudes.
