The following November 15, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 2:
    Pvt. Wayne Walters, recently inducted into the armed forces, is now serving with the quartermaster corps at Ft. Lee, Virginia.

The following May 8, 1952, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 2, column 2:
    Pvt. Wayne D. Walters, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Walters of R.R. 1, Lowell, has recently graduated from the Quartermaster Storage course of the Quartermaster School at Fort Lee, Va.

    The Quartermaster School at Fort Lee has many types of courses for both officers and enlisted men. After graduating, the students are assigned to jobs where they can utilize their training.

    Pvt. Walters entered the Army in October, 1951, at Indianapolis, and was assigned to Fort Lee. He is a graduate of Lowell High School, class of 1949, and prior to entering service was employed at Koke TV and Radio Shop.


The following June 26, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 6, column 2:
    Wayne Walters left yesterday (Wednesday) for Camp Kilmore, New Jersey, concluding a furlough spent in Crown Point with his wife and near Shelby with his parents. Wayne will leave soon for overseas service in Europe.

The following August 21, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found in Section 2 on page 1, columns 2-3:
    The many friends of Wayne Walters will be interested in news concerning him. Wayne was recently transferred to Germany and is stationed near Frankfort. He has been assigned to drive a personnel transfer truck. Address: Pvt. Wayne D. Walters, US 55201397, 7th Trans. Trk. Co., APO 46, c/o Postmaster, New York, N.Y.
