An article listing all the men in Cedar Creek, West Creek and Eagle Creek Townships who were drafted into the army the previous Friday was in the July 26, 1917, issue of the Lowell Tribune (page 8, columns 4-6). Among the men listed from Cedar Creek Township was Cordie G. Kenney. He was given the serial number 1658 and was the 2880th person on the draft list.
