This February 24, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:
    Pvt. George Stinnett is home on a 12-day furlough.

This Lowell Tribune article was found in the February 22, 1945, issue (page 2, column 1):
    Mrs. John Gregg has received word that her son, Pfc. George Stinnett, has been in the hospital since Nov. 26, but is expected to be out soon. He is stationed "somewhere in Germany."
    Cpl. Whorley Stinnett, another son of Mrs. Gregg, wrote that he had arrived safely in the South Pacific.
