NOTE -- Some artilces list his first name as "Whorley," while others have the "Worley" spelling. (The Worley family was quite prominent in Lowell.) The "Whorley" spelling was also used in Our American Heritage, 1852-1952: Lowell Indiana, the town's centennial celebration book
This Lowell Tribune article was found in the February 22, 1945, issue (page 2, column 1):
    Mrs. John Gregg has received word that her son, Pfc. George Stinnett, has been in the hospital since Nov. 26, but is expected to be out soon. He is stationed "somewhere in Germany."
    Cpl. Whorley Stinnett, another son of Mrs. Gregg, wrote that he had arrived safely in the South Pacific.

This Lowell Tribune announcement was found in the Nov. 16, 1950, issue (page 4, column 1):
    The baby girl born recently to Mr. and Mrs. Worley Stinnet[t] has been named Norma Jean.
