MARRIED IN THE SPRING TIME.
Event Occurs 1:30 at Residence on Washington Street.
Julius C. Rumsey and Grace L. Pinkerton were married at the home of the bride's parents at 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 28, 1897, Justice Martin J. Sanders officiating. The groom wore a black suit, light necktie and patent leather shoes, while the bride was attired in a green silk dress trimmed with pearl and with a white silk and chiffon front. At 11:30 o'clock, the time set for the nuptials, the guests had all arrived and all repaired to the parlor. Miss Sadie Nichols played the wedding march and the principals in the affair entered, preceded by 'Squire Sanders, and the ceremony was then performed in a simple but impressive manner. After congratulations the dining room, where the tables were laden with delicious culinary productions and adorned with beautiful flowers, became the most important object of interest for about one hour. Many handsome and valuable presents were received in an appreciative manner.
Mr. and Mrs. Rumsey have lived in this city the greater portion of their life and are highly respected young people who have been efficiently connected with church work for years. They will be at home on the west side after May 1st.
