MARGARET SUTTON HONORED WITH PARTY ON BIRTHDAY

Wednesday, June 14, was the 7th birthday of Margaret Sutton and to help celebrate the occasion, twelve little girls went to her home in the afternoon to play. Many games and contests were enjoyed, with a prize going to the winner of each. After the games the girls enjoyed a treasure hunt.

The entire group was seated at a long table where they were served angel food birthday cake decorated in red, white, and blue, ice cream and pop, with [a] sack of candy for each to take home. As it was also Flag Day, each girl was presented an American flag. Following the lunch Margaret opened her many birthday gift packages so all could admire the lovely presents.

Present were Shirley and Alma Parks, Thelma Hess, Gloria Pratt, Laverne, Shirley and Lillian Ketelaar, Leona Ogborn, Ruth Theis, Marilyn Tully, Joyce Shipman and Carol Huebsch.

Helping with the party were Miss Margaret's two brothers, John and David. Margaret is the daughter of the Harold Suttons.
