First Lowell Church

First Lowell Church

Placeholder

Did you know . . . that this building was the first church in the Town of Lowell? Constructed by Lowell's founder, Melvin A. Halsted, in 1856, it was demolished in 1905 to make room for the Presbyterian Church, erected in 1907 and still standing on the northeast corner of Mill and Main Streets as an office building. This photo is circa 1900.
