The following August 24, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 4:
- A miscellaneous shower sponsored by Mrs. Jack Gordon, in honor of Mrs. Bert Moyer, Jr., was held on Thursday night. Prize winners in the games were Mrs. Bert Moyer, Sr., Mrs. Ernest Wilson and Mrs. Velma Meyers. The bride, the former Norma Jane Bruckman, was the recipient of many gifts. Refreshments were served by the hostess at the close of the evening festivities.
