The following May 15, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 5:
    Miss Jean Dodge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Dodge, who is being graduated from L.H.S. this week, has enlisted in the Marine Corps and anticipates her call about June 1. Jean has an aunt, Major Sara Dodge, stationed in Japan and a brother, Dick, serving with the Marines, in Korea.
