The following July 3, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found in section 2 on page 4, column 3:

Myers - Doty Wed in Candlelight Service

Red and white roses adorned the altar of the Hope Lutheran church at Cedar Lake for the pretty candlelight wedding ceremony in which Betty Jo Myers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burnell Myers of Cedar Lake, became the bride of Keith Doty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Doty of Lowell on Saturday, June 28th.

The single ring service was read by Rev. Muhlenbach at six o'clock before a large assemblage of relatives and guests. Bridal selections were rendered by Mrs. Joseph Murdock at the piano.

The bride, escorted by her father, was attired in a gown of nylon net over satin. The full skirt was cut ballerina length and the dress featured a jacket of chantilly lace. Her fingertip veil of nylon illusion was caught to a lace cap encrusted with seed pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of white daisies.

Miss Sue Myers attended her sister as maid of honor. Her ballerina gown was fashioned of pastel blue nylon net over satin. For their roles as bridesmaids, the Misses Margie Hunt and Betty Trueblood wore gowns styled identically to that of the maid of honor in pastel shades to match their gowns.

Forbes Fairchild served the groom as best man and ushers were Jack Nomanson and Pat Sharkey.

For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Myers selected a summer dress of pastel blue which she contrasted with white accessories. The groom's mother wore a navy and white sheer with matching accessories and each wore a corsage of daisies.

Two hundred guests attended the evening reception held at Cedar Beach Hotel, Cedar Lake, where Mrs. W. Baldwin entertained with organ music.

The bride attended Lowell high school and the groom, a graduate of Lowell high school, class of 1952, is employed at the Golf Ball Manufacturing Company in Crown Point. The couple will make their future home in that city.
