    Tech/Sgt. Benjamin A. Buckley (on the left) was in the Army from 1939 to 1963. He earned many awards and decorations, including the Purple Heart, Croix de Guerre, Distinguished Unit, Bronze Star with Clusters, and more. Wounded three times, he had nine Battle Stars, with fighting in France, Germany, North Africa, and Italy as well as sevice in Japan. The uniform he was wearing in this photo has been donated to the Halsted House Museum in Lowell, Indiana.
