Lucky Lucille, 1944
This photo, dated March 2, 1944, was taken in front of Lucky Lucille. Dan Cowan, who owns a copy of the photo, explains, "Lucky Lucille was a sort of famous B-24, but was flown by many crews, according to navigator Hugh Glover, 4th from the left in the 2nd row--standing." Harold G. Cowan, father of Dan Cowan, is the man at the far left in the front row, wearing the dark flight jacket.
