Josephine Jewett and Class
Mrs. William Cole (Carri Ann Cole), owner of this photograph, wrote that Josephine Jewett was a teacher in Lowell. She also added the following:
- Attached is a picture of Josephine Jewett and her class in front of the school room . . .
I don't know who the children are. . .
She was born 8 OCT 1889 and graduated from Indiana State Normal School. This picture would have been taken the year or two after her graduation . . .because after that she went to Valparaiso University and then became a librarian in Columbus Ohio.
She was first married 19 JUN 1917 so I think this would have been taken about 1910 or so. . .
She was my great aunt.
