1911 postcard
The information hand written on the back of the postcard follows:
- Commercial & N. Liberty -- Large house [of] James W. Belshaw house built by Sherman Hayden in 1899. Belshaws purchased in 1902 and kept in family in 1928. Small bldg. to the left was barn, later moved & became Wm. McLellan house.
Photos of this home in 1984 and 1993 list it as being "the old Van Arsdell home" at 204 W. Commercial Ave. In 1996 it was included in the "Historic Homes" brochure created by the Lowell Public Library.
