The following item was found under the heading "Old Time News -- March 27, 1875" in the June 19, 1924, Lowell Tribune (page 6, column 2):

Two marriage notices were in the paper, Jasper V. Cleaver to Miss Harriet E. Harris, and Homer J. Stowell to Miss Emma Hayhurst. Esquire William Sanders performed both ceremonies.
