Emma Everts Gregg (1860-1931)

- Emma Everts Gregg, daughter of Robert Everts and Rebecca Patton Everts, was born near Crown Point, Ind., February 2, 1860, and passed away at her home in Shelby Sept. 14, 1931, aged 71 years, 7 months, and 12 days.
In the year 1915 Mrs. Gregg united with the church of Christ at Lowell.
She was united in marriage to Emery Gregg. To this union were born 5 children: Bernard, Muriel, Blanche, Edward and Fay.
She leaves behind her loving husband, her 5 children, numerous grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, Alice A. Lamphear of Chicago and one brother, Alan R. Everts of Los Angeles, California.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Christian church at Shelby, E.L. Worley officiating. Interment in the Lowell cemetery, William Sheets & Son, funeral directors.
Relatives who attended the funeral from out-of-town were: Mrs. Dell Lampheir and son Gordon, Mrs. Wm. Stark, Mrs. Ed. Jergens, of Chicago; Lou Heffren of Hammond; Mr. and Mrs. B. Tuelmochar, of Dyer; Mrs. Fred Eisholf, and Mrs. Wm. Duddliston of Chicago Heights.
