The following March 7, 1968, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 2:
    Airman First Class William C. Huber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph J. Huber of 3803 107th Place, Crown Point, Ind., has been recognized for helping his unit earn the U.S. Air Force Outstanding Unit Award.

    Airman Huber, a jet aircraft mechanic in the 437th Military Airlift Wing at Charleston, AFB, S.C., will wear the distinctive service ribbon as a permanent decoration.

    The unit was cited for achieving an exceptionally meritorious rating for distinguished service during a one-year period.

    Factors which led to the unit being named for the award include development of a highly responsible airlift organization which maintained vital airlift routes essential to the United States overseas commitment to free nations in the world.

    The airman is a graduate of Crown Point High School.
