The following August 14, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 3:
    Cpl. Harold Iliff, who has been hospitalized in Tokyo since March 9th, informs his parents that he has returned to his company. Harold suffered a serious leg fracture while skiing. He is now able to walk with the aid of braces and has been assigned to work in the personnel office. Harold is again at Camp Crawford near the town of Sapporo on Hokkaido Island.
