The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

In response to word of the death of his sister, Mrs. Forrest Lee, Elmer Vinnedge left Tuesday by plane for California, where he attended chapel services for her Wednesday at Whittier. Her death had occurred there Sunday.

The former Dorothy Vinnedge , she was born in Creston and was the youngest of six children, who survive here with the exception of the oldest, Obadiah Vinnedge. She leaves with Elmer and a son James, now in military services, two sisters, Mrs. Harry Howard of Crown Point and Mrs. Ella Harmon on the family farm at Creston; and a brother, Calvin, Route 1, Crown Point.

Mrs. Lee's husband died a little more than a year ago.
