Lee Neiswander (Nieswanger?)
- Lee Nieswanger died at Crown Point Wednesday of last week of pneumonia. He was well known and well thought of here, having worked here a year for the Lowell Buggy Co. as an upholsterer. He was about 50 years old. The only relative he had was a brother in Toledo, Ohio, who came to take charge of the funeral services.
Sudden Death
Lee Neiswander, the upholsterer at Hack's carriage shop for a dozen or fifteen years, and close to 60 years of age, died suddenly at his room over the Laws place, Wednesday afternoon, no one being with him just at the time his spirit departed. He had been in poor health all winter, which at last terminated in pneumonia. He was a widower, his wife dying here several years ago. He was a member of K. of P. lodge and owned some property in Hammond. His brother came today (Thursday) to make arrangements for the burial, and it is thought the remains will be shipped away.Return to Biographies.
