The following June 22, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 4:
    The Harry Schlachters spent last Saturday at Ferdinand, Ind., where they attended the wedding of Mr. Schlachter's nephew, Sylvester Schlachter, to Miss Eleanor Weyer. The ceremony was performed at St. Ferdinand church, Saturday morning at 7:30. On Sunday, en route home, they stopped for dinner at the home of Mrs. Schlachter's father, Chris Deyke, at Jasper.
