Leslie Scofield

The following February 22, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:

    Killed in Action

    Word has been received by relatives here that Pvt. Leslie Scofield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Scofield, was killed in action in Belgium, Jan. 23rd, while fighting with U.S. forces. The young man's mother is the former Cora Taylor. He was a grandson of the late John R. Taylor, and a nephew of Mrs. Maude Wheeler and Hamlet Taylor.

    He leaves his immediate family, his parents, one sister and two brothers. He has been in service for a year and overseas since last October.
