At a lovely candelight service on Wednesday evening, Nov. 7, in the Lowell Methodist church, Faye Tyler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Tyler of Lowell, and Lt. Jackson O'Connell, son of Mrs. Gilbert Harris of Indianapolis, exchanged marriage vows with Rev. H.M. Braun officiating.

As a prelude to the ceremony, Mrs. George Foster gave vocal renditions of "Because" and "Oh, Perfect Love," accompanied by Mrs. Hasken of Calumet City.

Preceding the bride to the altar as bride's maid was Cecelia LaMotte in a floor length gown of white jersey with a fingertip veil of dusty rose net and carrying a bouquet of rose and yellow chrysanthemums. Mrs. Richard O'Connell of Indianapolis, followed as matron of honor, also wearing a gown of white jersey with powder blue veil and a bouquet of rose and yellow chrysanthemums.

The lovely bride was led to the altar on the arm of her father, who gave her in marriage. Her trailing gown was of white jersey with an inset of net at the neckline and trimmed with white seed pearls. Her blusher veil was held in place with a coronet of seed pearls. Her bridal bouquet was centered with an orchid and surrounded with gardenias and white baby mums.

Waiting at the altar with Lt. Jackson O'Connell was his brother, Sgt. Richard O'Connell, who served as best man. Ushers were Woody Armstrong of Indianapolis, a fraternity brother of the groom, and Bob Hathaway of Lowell.

The bride's mother wore a navy blue dress for the occasion, and her corsage was of gardenias. Mrs. Harris, mother of the groom, wore a black dress with gardenias.

A reception immediately followed the ceremony at the George Tyler residence. Mrs. Jean Tyler and Mrs. Ross Lockhart officiated at the bridal table from which wedding cake, punch and nuts were served to many relatives, friends, and sorority and fraternity friends of the bride and groom.

Lt. and Mrs. O'Connell left on a short wedding trip to Chicago and Indianapolis, after which he will report to Great Lakes for further assignment. Mrs. O'Connell's going away dress was a dusty rose wool with black accessories. Her black hat was trimmed with dusty rose satin.
