According to the American Red Cross website, you don’t need a particular reason to give blood.  The need is constant.  Donations are essential for a healthy and reliable blood supply. 

The Lowell Public Library is proud to host an  American Red Cross Blood Drive every other month during the year. The donation process is easy. The actual donation takes about 8-10 minutes and the process is safe and sterile. After donating, you should have a snack and something to drink in the refreshments area. You can leave after 10-15 minutes to continue with your normal daily activities, and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment knowing that you have helped save lives.
