Addie V. Albertson Williams (1871-1925)

- Addie V. Williams, daughter of Calvin and Fanney Albertson, was born at Kirksville, Missouri, March 28, 1871, and passed away at her home near Shelby, May 14, 1925, at the age of 54 years, 1 month, and 16 days. Early in life she united with the M.E. church at Canton, Indiana. On September 27, 1890, she was united in marriage to Edward P. Williams of Salem, Indiana. To this union were born 6 children, Zella H. Meyers of Champaign, Ill., and Clarice E. Williams, of Shelby, Ind., preceded her to the great beyond.
She leaves to mourn her going, her husband, one daughter, Flora Hathaway, of Shelby, and three sons, Lawrence, of Hammond, Indiana, Cecil W. and Ivan L., of Shelby, Indiana, and two grand-daughters, June and Ruth Meyers, of Champaign, Ill. Also an aged father and mother, one sister and three brothers and a host of relatives and friends. She was a good wife and mother and loved by all who knew her.
Short services were held at the home Saturday A.M. and from there she was taken to Urbana, Ill., where she was laid to rest in Wood Lawn cemetery. Undertaker William Sheets had charge.
