The following article was found in the March 1, 1917, Lowell Tribune on page 5, column 5:

Card of Thanks: We desire to extend to our relatives and friends in Lowell our thanks for the beautiful floral pieces furnished at the funeral of our dear husband, father and son, Allen Neis. Also do we wish to thank our friends for their kind offers of assistance and words of sympathy in our hour of sorrow. Signed: Mrs. Allen Neis and children and Mr. and Mrs. George Neis.
