Alphami Baty (1841-1920)

- Alphami Baty was born in Wayne county, Indiana, near Richmond, December 25th, 1841. She was married twice, the second marriage was to David Baty. To this union two children were born, Minnie Baxter of San-Pierre, and Ross Clarum, of Whiting. She has been afflicted for many years of her life, but has borne her afflictions with courage and fortitude. She passed away January 6, 1920, at the age of 78 years and 11 days.
Funeral services were held in the chapel at William Sheets, Friday, January 9, at 10 a.m., Nathan Worley officiating. The grandsons acted as pall-bearers. Interment in Lowell cemetery.
