CROWN POINT LOSES RESPECTED CITIZEN
The community received a deep shock and was thrown into universal mourning on Tuesday evening when it became known that Mrs. Amelia Hildebrandt, wife of Otto Hildebrandt, had passed away at the Augustana hospital in Chicago, where she was taken recently for treatment.Mrs. Hildebrandt, the daughter of H.C. and Elizabeth Griesel, was born in Crown Point, July 13, 1859, and has been a continuous resident of the community for sixty-eight years.
On January 2nd, 1884, she was married to Otto Hildebrandt, three children being born to the union, who, with the father, mourn the passing of a splendid wife and mother.
Two sons, Harvey and William Hildebrandt, of Santa Monica, Cal., and Mrs. George Letz, of this city.
Three sisters, Miss Clara Griesel and Mrs. Harry Daily of Milwaukee, and Mrs. J.B. Meyers of this city, also survive the deceased.
Funeral services will be held at the Lutheran church on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, daylight saving time, with interment at Maplewood cemetery in this city.
In the passing of Mrs. Hildebrandt the city loses one of its most respected citizens, a woman known for her many sided virtues, as an ideal mother, wife and citizen. The Star joins the community in the extending of deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

The deceased was the mother of Harvey Hidebrandt, formerly of Lowell, and had a large number of friends and relatives here, who will join us in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
