The following undated, unidentified newspaper article was found in a copy of Helen Craft's Scrapbook at the Lowell Public Library:
    Mrs. Anliza Bryant Davis was born at Pleasant Grove, northeast of Lowell, August 10, 1851, and died at her home four miles east of Lowell September 13, 1895, at the age of 44 years, 1 month and 3 days. She was united in marriage to William A. Davis February 25, 1874. To this union was born three children all of which survive the maternal parent. In 1870 she united with the Presbyterian church and about six years ago united with the M.E. church at Orchard Grove. She has been a consistent christian and indulging wife and mother. She leaves a husband, three children, an aged father and mother and a large circle of friends to mourn her. Rev. Bennett officiating, funeral services were observed at the M.E. church on Sunday, September 15th, to which a large number of friends gathered to show in a sincere way their last respects on this earth to a loved one gone before.
