The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

Lowell Implement Co. under Management of Arnold "Ike" Schreiber

Formal announcement has been received this week of the appointment of the newly organized Lowell Implement Company as the authorized Massey-Harris dealer for this community.

The Massy-Harris implement shop located at Routes 2 and 41, formerly owned by Thomas A. Green and Sons, has been acquired by John C. Werner, Beecher, Illinois, banker, and Attorney Harry P. Gabel, also of Beecher.

The new owners are doing business under the name of Lowell Implement Company, which has as its manager Arnold "Ike" Schreiber, who also operates Schreiber's Hudson Sales and Service near the same location.

The establishment will sell tractors, combines, farm implements, and parts, as well as render repair service.

Mr. Werner and Mr. Gabel are recipients of well wishes for successful ownership, while Mr. Schreiber already enjoys the prestige of being a competent manager.
