Arthur "Junior" Fuller
This January 20, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, columns 1-2:
- Pvt. Arthur Fuller, stationed at Amarillo Air Field, Texas, for the past three months, was transferred to Chanute Field for a week of schooling. He enjoyed New Years day at home with his mother, Mrs. Hazel Fuller, and sisters and brothers. Three days later he was unexpectedly transferred to Jefferson Barracks, Mo., where he is now taking further study.
- His brother, Pvt. Donald Fuller, is stationed at Ft. Benjamin Harrison.
This June 29, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was fouind on page 2, Column 1:
Promoted to Pfc.
Junior Fuller, son of Arthur Fuller wrote his mother recently that he had been promoted to Private First Class. Pfc. Fuller, who is stationed "somewhere in England", also said that he and Sgt. John Ragon had written to each other and were planning to get together sometime in June. With the invasion coming on June 6th, it is doubtful if they will be able to do as they had planned.The following October 19, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 4 column 3:
Serving in Supply Depot
An Air Service Command Depot in England -- More than 200,000 different items of air corps supplies -- everything needed to continue the aerial warfare against the Reich -- pass through the hands of Pfc. Arthur Fuller of Lowell, and other soldier supply men at this great overseas supply center.Private Fuller, son of Mrs. Hazel Fuller, Castle street, has been expediting the flow of supplies at this air service command depot since his transfer overseas early this year. Before entering the army in Sept., 1943, he was employed by Carnegie Steel, in Gary.
A brother, Pvt. Donald Fuller, is serving with an armored division.
This Lowell Tribune article was found in the July 26, 1945, issue (page 2, column 1):
- Pfc. Donald Fuller, who is now in Munich, Germany, expects to be sent back to the States sometime in Sept.
- His brother, Pfc. Arthur Fuller, now at the port of LaHavre, France, Camp Lucky Strike, is helping load ships for the states. He will return in August or September.
This November 15, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:
- Pfc. Arthur Fuller arrived home this week after having received his honorable discharge from the service. He had just returned from 21 months overseas service.
