Betsy Vicory (1854-1926)

- Mrs. Betsy Vicory was born at Beaverville, Ill., Sept. 9, 1854. She died at Schneider, May 14th, 1926, at the age of 71 years, 8 months and 5 days.
She leaves to mourn her, one son, Alonzo Vicory, of Schneider, and one daughter, Mrs. Henry Bigger, of Edgerton, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. John Newell, of Lake Village; thirteen grand children and one great grand child.
She was the wife of Jerome Vicory and the mother of seven children, all of whom have preceded her in death except two.
She was a devoted wife and mother and a member of the Presbyterian church.
Funeral services were held last Sunday at Lake Village. Rev. Thomas Smart preached the funeral service. Burial at Lake Village in charge of Undertaker William Sheets. The following acted as pall bearers: Ed Bruckman, Earl Hector, Clarence Brown, John Born, Thomas Lloyd and Leslie Russell.
