MARRIED FIFTY YEARS AGO
MR. AND MRS. CHARLES F. TEMPLETON CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Charles F. Templeton and Addie E. (Hill) Templeton were born about two miles south and east of Lowell 73 and 70 years ago. They were united in marriage February 22, 1880, at the Sigler hotel in Crown Point. They continued to reside in Lowell until 1882 when they moved to Chicago, where they resided for over 36 years. During their residence there Mr. Templeton was superintendent of the Canal and Dock Co. A few years ago they moved to Tampico, Old Mexico, where they resided for a short time and then moved to near Bradentown, Florida, where they resided for seven years, until last fall when they moved to Indianapolis, Ind., where they reside at 5739 Rawles Avenue.Saturday, February 22nd, was the 50th anniversary of their marriage and they celebrated the day at the home of their son, Milton and wife, 36 LaSalle St., Indianapolis, where they were greeted by many of their newly made friends. The day was a very happy one, for the bride and groom of fifty years ago and is one that will long be remembered by them. They have a large circle of friends here at their old home who will join with us in extending to them best wishes for many more years of happy wedded life. Mr. and Mrs. Templeton are very thankful that they are both enjoying their usual health. They have two children living, Mrs. Ethel Tiedeman of Chicago and Milton Templeton of Indianapolis.
