Christ. Peterson (1876-1934)

The following article appeared in the February 22, 1934, issue of the Lowell Tribune (page 1, column 2):
    Christ Peterson, one of our highly esteemed citizens, passed away at his home south of town at 9 a.m. Monday. He has been in poor health for some time, but it was not thought he was in a serious condition until the last few days. Funeral services were held at the Weaver & Son funeral home yesterday at 2 p.m.

This March 1, 1934,Lowell Tribune obituary appeared on page 3, column 2:
    Christ. Peterson was born in Germany, December 19, 1876, and died at his home near Shelby, February 19, 1934, at the age of 57 years, 2 months. He came to this country in the year 1910 and made his home around Lowell. He was an honest and industrious man and was well known in this section. He leaves his wife and three children -- Mrs. Clyde Klug, Erna and Fritz; also, two brothers and three sisters in Germany, and one cousin, Anthony Nomanson, of Lowell.

    Funeral services were held at the Weaver & Son funeral home Thursday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. R.H. Crowder, pastor of the M.E. church. Interment was made in the Lowell cemetery in charge of Weaver & Son.
