This June 20, 1946, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 7, column 5:
- Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Mink and Mrs. Bernard Roy enjoyed a several days' stay at Camp Polk where they visited their sons, Pvt. Donald Mink and Pvt. Cleo Roy. They were accompanied by the Misses Dorothy Hayden and Barbara Doolittle.

CLEO ROY AND BARBARA DOOLITTLE WED IN LOUISIANA
- Mr. and Mrs. Wade Doolittle announce the marriage of their daughter, Barbara, to Pvt. Cleo Roy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Roy. The double ring ceremony was performed Saturday morning, June 8th at Leesville, Louisiana, where Pvt. Roy is now stationed at Camp Polk. Mrs. Roy has returned to Lowell, where she will reside for the present. At the close of Pvt. Roy's basic training he will be sent to another station for advanced schooling, and she expects to join her husband there.

- Mrs. Cleo Roy is at Denver, where she is visitiing her husband, Pvt. Cleo Roy, stationed at Fitzsimmons hospital there.
This August 29, 1946, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 2:
- Mrs. Cleo Roy, who has been visiting her husband at Fitzsimmons General Hospital, Denver, Colo., where he has been stationed for some time, has returned home after a two weeks stay. Cleo is expecting to be transferred soon to another post.
This December 5, 1946, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 7, column 5:
- Pvt. Cleo Roy, who has been stationed in California, is spending a 15-day furlough here with his wife and parents.
This Lowell Tribune article was found in the September 11, 1947, issue (page 9, column 5):
- T/5 Cleo Roy is home on terminal leave. He has been stationed near Tokyo, Japan, in a hospital unit for some time. He expected to soon be released from service.
