The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

MEMORIAL SERVICES HELD FOR FORMER RESIDENT

Memorial services were held at the Weaver funeral home Monday afternoon for Clifford "Bud" Sims, 30, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sims of RR 2, Hobart, former residents of Lowell.

In ill health for some time, "Bud" became seriously ill about a week before he passed away. He had returned home on Friday morning from Billings Memorial hospital, Chicago, and died in the afternoon.

Surviving with his parents is a brother, Jack, at home.

Services were conducted by Rev. J. Hollar pastor of the Deep River Church of Christ. Burial was in the Lowell cemetery.
