The following obituary was found on column 3, page 2, of the Dec. 17, 1970, Lowell Tribune:

    Daisy Burke, age 91, Cedar Lake, passed away Tuesday, December 8, at Colonial Nursing Home in Crown Point.

    Survivors include nieces and nephews. Her husband, Michael, preceded her in death.

    Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 10, at Holy Name Church with the Rev. Carl Mengeling officiating. Burial was in Holy Name Cemetery.

    The rosary was recited at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. She was a member of Holy Name Church; Altar and Rosary Society; and Third Order of St. Francis.
