David R. (Kirby) "Dave" Sirois

The following April 17, 1969, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 6:

    Promoted to Sergeant

    David R. (Kirby) Sirois, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Sirois of Shelby, has been promoted as Sergeant, as of April 1, 1969.

    Sgt. Sirois is serving with the Air Force as an air crew egress systems repairman, assigned to the 23rd Tactical Fighter Wing, an organization whose primary mission is training pilots for Southeast Asia.

    At the present time he is stationed at McConnell AFB, Wichita, Kansas, but has received orders for an 18 month assignment to Kadena Air Base in Okinawa. He will be home on leave in May for a 30 day furlough before departing for Okinawa in June.

    Dave is a graduate of Lowell High School, class of 1966.
