Donald L. Fawley

Donald L. Fawley

The following August 7, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:
With the 25th Infantry Division in Korea -- Pfc. Donald L. Fawley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Fawley, 213 Sheridan road, Crown Point, recently returned to the 25th Division in Korea after a five-day rest and recuperation leave in Japan.

Along with hundreds of soldiers from other divisions in Korea, he stayed at the finest hotels in Japan and enjoyed many luxuries unobtainable in Korea. The leaves are part of the Army's policy to give the fighting soldier a rest from the rigors of combat.

Pfc. Fawley is a mortar gunner in Company B, 14th Regiment.
