Donald Ray Frashour
The following information was sent by Denise Frashour Franklin, daughter of Donald Frashour:
- "My dad, Donald Ray Frashour, was born in Standard, Louisiana. . . . [There was a] wet nurse that nursed my dad as an infant. She was a Black woman named Louloly (not sure of the spelling, of course). My Grandmother was very sick when my dad was born and she could not feed him. They soon moved to Michigan and brought my dad up here in a shoe box.
Dad went back to Louisiana after he was discharged from the war (WWII). He found the woman and asked if she remembered the baby. She said, 'Oh yes, but that baby died.' Dad siad, 'No, I am that baby.' Dad could never tell the story without getting torn up."
