The following January 14, 1943, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 8 column 2:
- Dr. and Mrs. L.B. Hayden and son Gene of Wilmington, and Dr. and Mrs. G.W. Stuppy of Chicago were Sunday visitors of their parents, the Earl Haydens. Dr. Stuppy, a major in the army medical corps, left Tuesday for Washington, D.C. Mrs. Stuppy will join him in that city sometime next week.
