Earl Taylor

Earl Taylor

The following unidentified 1954 newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

EARL TAYLOR CAUGHT IN POWER TAKE OFF

Earl Taylor, West Creek farmer, was injured Monday evening when his trouser leg caught in the power take-off of his corn picker as he mounted the tractor. Luckily he was in a neighboring farm yard with a load of corn when the accident occurred, so he received immediate help. Both of his legs are quite seriously burned, caused by the twisting of his clothing, which had to be cut off to set him free. Mr. Taylor is still confined to bed.
