Edna R. Michael Heminger
(Mrs. L.D. Heminger)

The following September 9, 1926, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 1, column 2:

    FORMER LADY HOME FROM AFRICA

Mrs. Edna Heminger and sons, Dallas and Edwin, who recently arrived in this country from her last three years mission work in West Africa, and have been visiting relatives in Crown Point, spent a few days of last week at the home of her uncle, William Michael, in Lowell, calling in the meantime on families of old home friends at Lake Prairie community.

She left on Labor Day to reside while educating her boys at Wooster, Ohio. She spent most of her last home vacation there. A beneficence of the Wooster Presbyterian College is to build, furnish and rent reasonable homes for their returned missionaries.

Since her marriage to Rev. L.D. Heminger fifteen years ago in November, and her return with him that same month to his mission field at Efulen, West Aftica, Mrs. Heminger has been engaged as a teacher of the girls' school at the same station, the last six years were continued after her husband's accidental death.
