The following unidentified newspaper article (ca. early 1900's) was found in a scrapbook owned by Betty Burton of Lowell:
    Edward C. Ames and wife, of Lowell, are rejoicing over the fact that they are grand-parents, a young son having been born to their daughter Edna (Mrs. Ed Simmons) a few days ago.

* NOTE -- In another article, the married last name of Edna appears as "Simons" rather than "Simmons."
